Adjustable Flush Mount, 1920s
[Item No. 22-C0019]
This is one of those finds that makes us do what we do. This interesting lamp can be rotated within a 35 degree radius for directional lighting.
We have replaced the original bayonet socket with a E12 socket specific to US standard. The provenance of the lamp eludes us at his time. The lamp was discovered in Switzerland that’s as far as we know for now. Much of Europe during the late to early 20th century adapted the bayonet socket which is commonly associated with France. The quality of the nickel plating over the brass structure is of the highest degree and quality. We find the design a superb example of the industrial chic style to the highest degree. We have added a thick guage blacken brass 4.75″ back plate to cover US junction box.
