A big telescopic pendant by Angelo Brotto. We believe this to be an extremely rare example of his work being the bottom section holding the glass is of painted wood which is not previously known within Brotto’s work. The painted surface bluish white exhibit subtle crackling of the paint as can be seen within the detail photos.

Brotto gained recognition for his glass works when from the 1960s through 70s he executed numerous designs for Murano based glass work Esperia. This outstanding example was executed with an additional material (painted wood) which unusual for designs from Esperia. The circular bottom holding the art glass connects to a chromed ring.
